Exhibition: “Antonio Palacios. The rumor of history, the noise of time”

The Fisac ​​and Gutiérrez Soto rooms of the Official College of Architects of Madrid host this exhibition focused on the figure by the architect Antonio Palacios, one of the great characters of the Landscape of Light, thanks to works such as the Cibeles Palace, the Cervantes Institute or the Círculo de Bellas Artes, among others.

The exhibition, which can be seen from September 29 to January 12, coincides with the XX Architecture Week and focuses on his works and projects carried out outside Madrid, mainly in Galicia.

To celebrate that the year 2024 marks 150 years since the birth of the famous Galician architect in O Porriño, one of the most prominent names in the history of architecture in Spain, the Madrid City Council, the Official College of Architects of Madrid and the Architecture Foundation COAM have agreed to jointly organize the “Antonio Palacios Year”, which will begin in October 2023 and will end a year later, also in autumn, with two exhibitions.

The exhibition is accompanied by the publication of a catalogue, which will be volume 1 of a joint work with that of the City Council. In addition, three months of rounds will be held during the autumn of 2023 and several guided tours of the exhibition will be organized.
