LuzMadrid, the International Light Festival, returns on October 27, 28 and 29, 2023 to the streets and squares of Madrid. Over three vibrant nights we can enjoy art and light in very special places in our city.
Madrid will be filled with light from the hand of more than twenty national and international artists with works that will allow us to see the city in a different way. In this second edition, the festival moves to new locations so that this light constellation surprises, excites and captivates Madrid residents and visitors.
On this occasion, LuzMadrid will have movement and vibration as its backbone, light as a creative impulse, as an engine of dreams and illusions.
The first large area of LuzMadrid includes El Retiro, with the pond and monument to Alfonso façade of the Reina Sofía National Art Center Museum and the vertical garden of CaixaForum.
The facilities and works of LuzMadrid 2023 will meet the criteria of energy efficiency and reduction of carbon dioxide consumption to certify the sustainable commitment of a festival that in its first edition was already recognized with the A Greener Festival award that endorsed its good environmental practices.
